Day1 (D)
Trekking starts in the afternoon at the architectural complex of "Armenian Alphabet" near the highway Yerevan - Aparan.
The route then proceeds through the gorge towards Amberd fortress and the church (7-13 cent.).
Camping near Amberd fortress.
Total trekking 2-3 hours.

Day 2 (B/L/D)
Descent to the gorge of the Amberd River and ascent along the river crossing the river from one bank to another. There are some small waterfalls and alpine meadows. Rising along the gorge up to the end we arrive to the mineral waters' springs. Lunch. Turning right, we ascent to the mountainous station of physicians and Kari lich (lake) at the elevation of 3,250 m. Camping and overnight at the lake Kari.
Total trekking 6-7 hours

Day 3 (B/L/D)
Ascent to the southern peak of mount Aragats (3,879 m). This is possible for every person with physically healthy condition. From here, there opens beautiful views to 3 other peaks and to the crater of Aragats, as well as to the surroundings. After the ascent we return back to the camping place at the lake Kari.
Total trekking 6-7 hours

Day 4 (B/L)
We enter the crater and the passage between the southern (3,879 m) and western peaks (4,080m). Passing it crosswise we come out to the slope of the eastern peak and passing it we go down to the waterfall at the river Gegharod. Then we proceed to the Aragats village. Drive to Yerevan.
Total trekking 8 hours.
Optional - Climbing the Northern peak of Aragats (4,095m) can be added to this tour for people with mountaineering and climbing experience which will take one more day.
